Vurn May 11, · I've been wanting to get some Hot Chocolate for a while. The folks had a greatest hits comp on vinyl many moons ago, and that's long gone. I am after the usual best quality I can get (even on the used market). -
Fern 'Every 1's a Winner', the Rock-influenced Soul gem, is the opener on the group's fourth album, which is also titled Every 1's A Winner. The track listing is solid, including the moving ballad 'Sometimes It Hurts to Be a Friend' as well as the message song 'Love Is the Answer One More Time' and the moody Euro-Disco number 'Put Your Love in Me'. -
Kazikus Hot Chocolate released a number of albums in the 70s which are all pretty good and all pretty much the same. Self-titled might even get more traction for the more widely known "Sexy Thing" but I'd say Every 1's a Winner is-albeit narrowly-the champ. -
